Alexandra Jubenville from Winstars Gymnastics tumbled to a silver medal at the 2016 Indo Pacific Championships in Napier, New Zealand. Belle River's Jubenville, 19, competed in the 17+ tumbling category as a representative of Team Canada. Qualifications to this international competition were held at the National Championships which took place in May in Edmonton, AB.
Jubenville finishes this year on a high note in New Zealand after coming home from Portugal in July with a team GOLD. Winstars coach, Rob Laudenbach, states "Alex had some clean passes during her competition. It's always a challenge for athletes travelling this far and adapting to the conditions, especially the jet lag."

Here at Winstars Gymnastics we love fall gymnastics. Just as parents enjoy the month of September, Winstars knows that families will be back into their regular routine of school and extra cirricular activities.
We start preparing for our fall program during the hot summer months. As we lay down the ground work for our program, staff and administration for this fall program, we know the excitment that we see on the faces of all our young gymnasts will be all worth the tireless efforts.
Just like kindergarten is the introduction to school, so to is the introduction of physical activity through the sport of gymnastics. Gymnastics can be defined as the sport of all other sports. Our sport governing body, Gymnastics Ontario, has the tag line "Sport starts here" which helps explain the importance of gymnastics for all young children.
Gymnastics provides many important physical attributes, such as agility, spatial awareness, body awareness, flexibility, strength, and gross motor development. These physical attributes help promote growth and physical development from toddler age to young teens.
Winstars prides ourselves on providing the highest quality gymnastics programming for children 16 months to teens. Winstars teaches the sport of gymnastics and fundamental movement patterns in a fun filled environment within our state of art facility.
If your child is climbing the walls and has lots of energy to burn, then Winstars Gymnastics is the place to be!
